Genesis - Wind And Wuthering (1976)

Post image

Two albums after Peter Gabriel left and the last record to feature guitarist Steve Hackett.

To these ears, this is the last great classic(al) Genesis record. I will admit though, I do like a bit of their big hit, poppy stuff and even a bit of Phil in his prime.

“Blood Oh The Rooftops” is the killer track and “Afterglow” a fitting end to their last above average record.

Love em or loath em, Genesis after Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett left, became even bigger stadium fillers and fully transformed into mega selling, production line pop superstars.

OK here it is. As well as being my favourite record it’s also the most significant, full stop! It’s a bold move I know but this just has so much past history for me, from adolescence through to (apparent) adulthood.
