David Bowie - 1. Outside (1995)
For many, this could be their introduction to David Bowie. For me, I had already kicked him into touch a decade and a half earlier following “Let’s Dance”.
commentsThis is another record which I’ve only listened to in parts (“Little Wonder” & “I’m afraid Of Americans”) and most probably not in its entirety in one sitting.
Trashed by the naysayers and I probably paid far too much attention.
Very much of its time, Industrial/Drum & Bass sounds predominate, but it still sounds powerful and hooky as a good Bowie record should.

commentsTo be honest, this is an album I never really knew existed. Made after “Black Tie White Noiseā€¯ and around the time of “Outside” to soundtrack a British TV series, it never appeared on my radar at all.
